      How It Started

      Energy Levels in Decline

      It all started with Co-Founder Jan Brandrup. At 50 years old, he had always been active and full of energy, but as he got older, he started to notice a slow but consistent decline in his day-to-day feeling of energy and vitality. 

      The Research Phase Begins  

      One day, he came across some research on NAD+ and its role in cellular metabolism and energy production. He was intrigued and started looking into supplements that could help boost NAD+ levels. But he found that many of the products on the market were low-potency or not pure enough to be effective. 

      Aalborg University, Denmark

      So, he reached out to the faculty at Aalborg University, a leading research institution in the field of cellular biology and biochemistry. He shared his mission with them and asked for their help in developing a product that would meet his high standards for purity and potency. 

      Together, Co-Founder Jan and the team at Aalborg University spent years researching and experimenting with different ingredients and formulations, using the latest technologies and processes to extract and refine the most potent and pure compounds in the fast-growing cellular rejuvenation category. They tested the products extensively in both laboratory settings and with Jan as their human subject. 

      After many long hours of hard work and dedication, they finally developed a product that exceeded the standard purity levels in the market. And with that product, Neurogan Health was born.

      Urolithin A is a naturally occurring compound, a metabolite produced when our gut bacteria break down ellagitannins, compounds found in certain fruits and nuts, most notably in pomegranates.

      How much Urolithin a is in a pomegranate?

      While pomegranates contain ellagitannins that can be converted to Urolithin A by gut bacteria, the actual concentration of Urolithin A in the fruit varies and depends on individual gut microbiome processes. Not everyone can efficiently convert these ellagitannins to Urolithin A.
